Floating wind turbine instrumentation, Heraclea

At Heraclea, an island in the Aegean Sea, in St. George’s Bay, there is a floating platform called Ydriada, hosting photovoltaic installations and a wind turbine. Two FBG sensors were installed on the platform, one on a horizontal beam and one in the middle of the wind turbine’s mast.
