Nea Peramos railway bridge instrumentation

The Nea Peramos steel railway bridge was constructed in the 19th century and has undertaken a series of reinforcements and structural upgradings since. A FBG sensor was chosen for its instrumentation, which recorded the bridge’s strain at the crossing of a train. Finally, the experimental data was compared to the theoretical (through finite elements analysis) data.
